The church will be closed as of Saturday, April 2, 2021 until further notice

The COVID-19 Executive Committee, which was established in March 2020, meet today to discuss the implications of the province-wide shut down announced today by the Government of Ontario. The decision has been made to suspend in-person worship services until further notice. The church will be open for our Good Friday service, however, there will be no in-person service on Easter Sunday.

Services will continue at 10 am on Sunday mornings through Facebook Live and will be available on our website by Sunday afternoon.

We appreciate that this is disheartening news during this most important time of celebration in our church, but the health and safety of our congregation and our community remains our top priority.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

Lenten Season

Ash Wednesday (February 17) beings the season of Lent. We will be welcoming Rev. Heather Kincaid for our Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday Services.

We invite you to participate in this Lenten Season in several ways:

Season of Prayer
Each day of Lent we will be posting a prayer through our website and Facebook feed. Each week will focus on a different type of prayer including praying by name, centering prayers, and prayers for the people.

An in person prayer meeting will be held each Sunday after service starting on Sunday, February 21. At these prayer meetings we will have a responsive prayer and prayers for members of our congregation. An online prayer meeting will be held each Thursday at 7 pm through Zoom starting on Thursday, February 18. These meetings will explore the prayer style of each week.

To register for the online prayer meetings or to submit a prayer request please email or contact the church office.

Good Deeds Calendar (on behalf of the Worship Committee)

With 2020 being a year where we had to “give up” so many things, we thought to change our tactic for Lent 2021 and challenge you to “give something to someone”.  Try to complete your Lenten Calendar with Good Deeds.

Click here to download your own calendar.

Good Deed Ideas:
-Send a card to someone “Thinking of You” or a Birthday Card or Get Well Card
-Connect with a family member -how are they surviving Covid, what’s up in their lives;           share what’s happening in yours (letter or email or phone call)
-Share dinner with a friend -make a double recipe and do a take out to a friend
-Shovel a neighbours walkway or stairs
-Buy a person behind you in line a coffee at Tim’s or Starbucks
-Make a craft to brighten up a shut-in’s day
-Send flowers to someone who may be lonely
Use your imagination. It doesn’t have to be a different ‘good deed’ each day.  You can repeat them.  Jesus gave his life for our salvation, lets spread a little love in His honour.

Adult Lenten Study (on behalf of the Faith Formation Committee)

The Faith Formation Committee invites everyone to take part in our adult group study for Lent. We will be reading "At the Crossroads: Daily Devotions for Lent" by David Kehret. We will once again have a weekly Zoom discussion meeting on Tuesdays at 7 pm. The first reading starts on Ash Wednesday (February 17) and the first meeting will be on Tuesday, February 23. Please contact Megan Postin at or 613-623-7242 to register.
