Information about Offerings: (from Finance committee)
If people still using envelopes want to limit the number of trips to the post office or church mail slot, they can put a few post-dated cheques in one envelope. Donna and I will be processing any envelopes received each week on Tuesdays. All cash will be deposited the week it is received but we will hold any post-dated cheques until the proper time.
Since the newsletter didn’t go out with the Easter envelope, they can use any plain envelope clearly marked with “Easter” and their name and envelope or PAR number.
If anyone would like to sign up for PAR, call or email Donna. She will email them a registration form. They have to drop it back off to the church mail slot and she will forward it to the PAR administrator. If anyone would like to change their current PAR donations again, contact Donna and she will make the arrangements with the PAR admin.
I have added the rest of the funds as well as an Easter fund on Canada Helps so anyone wanting part of their donation to go to Building, Benevolent, General Memorial or Organ Memorial can select those now.
The bank is still looking into e-transfers but it looks like it will not be possible. But anyone already banking with the Bank of Nova Scotia can set the church up as a payee using online banking (contact treasurer for deposit info). It may be possible for those using other banks to do so as well but each person would have to check with their own bank.
Fundscrip Update: Thank you to everyone who is taking responsibility for social distancing during this time. Your finance committee are working hard to ensure we are able to pay the cost of maintaining our buildings and paying our staff. Fundscrip is one of our fundraisers that we are able to continue while respecting social distancing. Our next group order for Fundscrip is April 5th and you are able to order online at any time. For the group order, please either drop off or mail your order and a cheque to the church, or call June to pick it up. Alternatively, you can email your order to June, and she will pick up your cheque when she delivers the gift cards. June will deliver the gift cards to you once she picks them up at the end of the week. Gift cards are available for No Frills, Metro, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Rexall, Shoppers Drug Mart, Giant Tiger, Wendy’s, McDonalds, Tim Horton’s, and Amazon.ca among others. Thank you for your support of this ongoing fundraiser.
